We all have the power to fight sudden cardiac arrest
This is Europe's leading cause of death, affecting over 300.000 people each year. The Live is Life Foundation works across Europe to raise awareness and empower people to save more lives.
We can save over
125.000 European lives
every year
Every year, more than 250,000 Europeans die from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) because they were not able to receive critical medical care in time. Because time is of the essence, it is vital that bystanders perform immediate CPR and have access to nearby automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Together we can increase the survival rate to 50%. Right now, most of us are simply not aware of this, and our foundation aims to change this.
Let us explain how...
We will empower people across many countries to:
We need to make people aware of sudden cardiac arrest –what causes it, how to recognise it, and how we can save the lives of victims ourselves.
A nearby AED saves lives. Via our unique fundraising platforms and projects across Europe, we facilitate and empower people everywhere to have an AED installed in their surroundings.
Learning how to perform CPR and use an AED is crucial. That is why we offer modern methods and systems for training ordinary citizens in how to save a life and be prepared for an emergency.
